The day begins at 1 p.m. in the Square with vibrant traditional Irish music and dance. SLANE. Slane's St Patrick's parade will start at 3.30pm at the top of the village beside the local primary school and end at the gates of Slane Castle.. This parade has been successfully running for the last 29 years and always delivers a lovely day out with plenty of free goodie bags, popcorn and candy floss for the kiddies.
